photos of the day

A view of tidal pools on the seashore located down from our restaurant's main deck (the dining facility sits atop a bluff overlooking the Caribbean). A wooden stairway leads to this area, facilitating its exploration.

love this guy!

Nineteen Twenty Olympic medals! The most decorated Olympian of all times. Way to go, Michael Phelps!

"I started smiling with about 20 meters to go," Phelps said after the win. "That's the first time I've ever done that."
No doubt Mr. Phelps is maximizing his human experience.

allowing the law to work through you

Be aware of the big difference between inspired action and activity. Activity comes from the brain-mind and is rooted in disbelief and lack of faith - you are taking action to "make" your desire happen. Inspired action is allowing the law to work through you and to move you.

Activity feels hard. Inspired action feels wonderful.

throbbing within him [her]

When a man [woman] feels throbbing within him [her] the power to do what he [she] undertakes as well as it can possibly be done, this is happiness, this is success.

mystical august yoga retreat

Coming up in this astronomically significant August 2012, Paya Bay Resort is proudly hosting yoga master Paula Tursi of New York's Reflections Yoga for an energy-shifting yoga retreat. Being part of the Mayan civilization's geographic sphere of influence in pre-Columbian Central America, the island of Roatan is energetically well-located for this August 19 - 25, 2012 event. Grasp this off-the-beaten-track, mind-expanding immersion opportunity to improve your yoga practice and deepen your spiritual journey as you enjoy the idyllic beaches, crystalline Caribbean waters, colorful fish and coral reefs, verdant tropical environment, and happy black+brown+white island culture of our beautiful resort and the charming island of Roatan, Honduras. This mystical yoga experience can be booked directly through NYC's Reflections Yoga. More information.

improving ananda

Now that the wooden floor of the Ananda Pavilion has cured, we are putting filler in the spaces between the boards. The next step will be to sand and smooth the entire floor, and then apply a wood sealant. The goal is to complete this project in the next week.

working, working

A lot of progress has been made since my last update on the new Bliss Beach restrooms. The roof is completed, as are the inside walls and floors. Miguel and Francisco are now working on the floor of the breezeway. As mentioned previously, all floors are being treated with natural stone we harvest right here on the property.

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one."

the layle series

Yesterday, my sexy Australian friend Layle and I played a little game of "model & photographer" on the rugged seaside rocks in the Secret Cove area.

attracting in every moment

Each of us is attracting in every moment of our lives. So when you feel that the law isn't working for you because you don't have what you want, realize that the law is responding to you. You are either attracting what you want or you are attracting the absence of what you want.

The law is still working.

lisa and layle

Lisa, who hails from South Africa (left), recently joined Paya's team. Her primary mission is to manage our organic gardening effort, but she'll wear many hats. Yesterday, our Australian friend, Layle, came to Paya Bay for an overnight visit. These photos were taken as we toured the property with our dogs.

 Just Layle.

Ay chi-hua-hua! Note the rainbow in this photo.

Layle starting to feel the Paya energy. Her dog, Charlie, also enjoyed exploring the trails.

the gate that would lead to my freedom

As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison.

beautiful opportunities in disguise

The fastest way to become the Master of your thoughts and emotions is through challenging situations. If your life is going along fairly smoothly, there are not the same opportunities that enable you to strengthen your power and become the Master of your thoughts and emotions.

You see, even challenges are beautiful opportunities in disguise.

it is going to be amazing

Another easy way to use the law of attraction for your benefit is this: Every night before you fall asleep, replay in your mind the good moments of the day, and give heartfelt thanks for each one of them. Think about the next day also, and intend that it is going to be amazing, that it is going to be filled with love and joy, and that all good is coming to you. Intend that it is going to be the best day of your life. Then when you wake in the morning, BEFORE you get out of bed, declare your intentions again for the day and give deep thanks as though you have received them all.
