client feedback

Made it home to Detroit last night. I just want to say Thank You for such a relaxing vacation that I had at Paya Bay again this year. You and your staff are the best. The resort just gets better every year, and for me there is no place I would rather be. For me it is just a slice of Paradise in this unsettling world, and your motto stands true, Feel Good Be Happy.

Muchas gracias, amigo!

tip the scales of your life

Don't you think it would be a good idea to use more words like fantastic, amazing, fabulous, brilliant, and wonderful?

Even if you give just 51 percent good thoughts and good feelings, you have tipped the scales of your life!

finding dory is coming in 2016!

Finding Nemo has been one of my all-time favorite feel good movies. Like Nemo, I grew up snorkeling on the reef, so I can totally relate to reef life (things, for example, like us kids being afraid of "The Big Blue.") I'm very excited about Finding Dory!

:-) Yay!

could you feel better?

It is important to remember that it is your thoughts and feelings together that create with the law of attraction, and you cannot separate them. Also remember that it's your feelings that are summing up your overall frequency and telling you what you are creating in this moment.

So how are you feeling right now? Could you feel better? Well then, do what it takes right now to feel better.

the zen path, revisited

The Grounds team is currently doing maintenance of The Zen Path.  This scenic footpath runs along the cliff top from the bungalows area to Bliss Beach. It now delivers you right to the Black Iguana beach bar. Part of the project is widening the trail (just a bit) so it's easier to walk.

farmer earl's garden

Since he and Mom moved to their new home, my father, Earl Mervin McNab, has started a sizable fruit and vegetable garden in their expansive new backyard. Mom has christened it "Farmer Earl's Garden." So far, Dad has harvested tomatoes, okra, green beans, eggplants, squash, radishes, and hot peppers. Right now the papaya and guava trees are loaded with fruit. Much of this locally-grown, garden fresh produce comes directly to Paya Bay's kitchen, and, shortly after, unto dishes served to our guests. Fresh fruit and veggies are so tasty; they are also as chock-full of vitamins and other vital nutrients as they can possibly be. Thank you, Dad, for your beautiful, much-appreciated support.

saving the spiny-tailed

Paya Bay Resort was recently awarded this certificate recognizing support we have extended to these noble, distinguished institutions (Florida Atlantic University, International Iguana Foundation, and Iguana Specialist Group) in the ongoing effort to save Roatan's unique Spiny-tailed Iguana from extinction.

An adult Spiny-tailed Iguana suns on a rock ledge near Bliss Beach. As the certificate states, there are less than 5,000 of these iguanas left and the population is decreasing. In Roatan, these iguanas are also known by their local nickname, "Black Iguanas."

To continue creating awareness of this important cause, we named our nearly-completed beach bar The Black Iguana. The bar features an impressively-sized replica of one of these beautiful reptiles. We also plan to have an information display about the species (and the efforts to protect it) in the bar.
