the cake is happiness

Every human being on the planet wants to be happy. Anything that anyone desires is because they think their desire will make them happy. Whether it is health, money, a loving relationship, material things, accomplishments, a job, or anything at all, the desire for happiness is the bottom line of all of them. But remember that happiness is a state inside of us, and something on the outside can only bring fleeting happiness, because material things are impermanent.

Permanent happiness comes from you choosing to be permanently happy. When you choose happiness, then you attract all the happy things as well. The happy things are the icing on the cake, but the cake is happiness.

Marilou and Chris have blissful, love-ey moments on Bliss Beach.

pistorius: motive?

Rumor has it that this boy (her ex-boyfriend, Francois Hougaard) texted Reeva Steenkamp the night before Valentine's Day. Hmmm...

happy and grateful

I'm happy and grateful for all the beautiful, encouraging, positive feedback I'm receiving from key clients, businesspeople, and friends I've come to respect and admire over the past few years. Thank you (and you know who you are) for these warm, energy-transmitting, empowering "pats on the back." I'm lucky to be part of an amazing team here at Paya Bay; each and every team member plays a vital and essential role in the symphony I have the humble honor of conducting. I respectfully take my hat off to each of them.

It only gets better!

zen rock

Zen Rock, found only at Paya Bay and on Pandora. Just one of several incredible "chillout spots" to discover at this incredible island paradise. In the background of these photos, private, clothing optional Bliss Beach is gently caressed by the warm, crystalline Caribbean Sea. This is a great chillout spot to feel the primal, nurturing, maternal energy of the Mother Ocean. Paya Bay Resort, Roatan, Bay Islands of Honduras.

no doubts

To succeed is nothing -- it's an accident. But to feel no doubts about oneself is something very different: it is character.

tiffany and mike's wedding (2)

This was the first wedding ceremony ever held at the ethereal Ananda Pavilion. With a gorgeous Caribbean sunset as a backdrop, this celebration of love was amazing!

ignoble iguana

Iguana

Ignoble iguana. Just resign
Yourself to rooting; rotting fruit;
Looting scraps from lots humans pollute.

Ignitable iguana. Your malign
Eye’s oily black. Ready to flare…
Daren’t torch your touchpaper.

Ignorant iguana, whose ingenious design,
Like your slow blood, is frozen, stuck in time,
As guano sticks fast to your igneous plinth.
Your forebears forgotten, holocausted by a meteor.

- Matthew Shepard (he and his partner, Joanne, are currently enjoying their third visit to Paya Bay! They come to Roatan all the way from the United Kingdom).

namaste moment

It's all good...
- A lady guest who checked in today. She reminded me of this Essential Truth in a conversation we had earlier tonight. As she uttered the words, I realized she and I were having a "namaste moment."

I smiled, bowed my head gently and respectfully toward her, and replied:
...and, it only gets better!
It's always a joy to encounter kindred spirits. It's fantastic that this revolutionary idea seems to be spreading at light speed across human consciousness.

It's all good.

IT'S.
ALL.
GOOD.

serene afternoon

Casie Fox, Paya Bay's resident yoga instructor, goes for a dip on the Big Beach on a particularly serene afternoon. Casie offers morning (8:30 am) and afternoon (4:30 pm) yoga sessions at Paya's spectacular Ananda Yoga Pavilion, Mondays thru Fridays.

As I often say, Ms. Casie is a ray of warm California sunshine! She brings so much good energy and sweet shanti to Paya! Yoga with Casie is like practicing with an angel.

feeling bliss!

Marilou Lavalee, a professional kitesurfer from Quebec who is sponsored by Core kites, has a blissful moment on the Paya Trail near Bliss Beach. Marilou and her German boyfriend, Christian, are starting a kitesurfing school here at Paya Bay Resort. The couple bring lots of their own beautiful, good energy to this paradisaical place.

your consciousness is expanding

When you read The Secret book or watch the film of The Secret, you can only take into your mind the knowledge that is on the same frequency as you at the time. The next time you read the book or watch the film, you take in much, much more. And this process never stops. You will continue to discover something more in every reading or viewing, and the principles become clearer and clearer and clearer. That is because your consciousness is expanding every single time.

kindness

On a hike through the local community, special guests Dale and Nicole came across a poor family with several dogs they seemed to be struggling to feed properly. Being animal lovers, the couple purchased three 40 lbs. sacks of dog food to give to the family. Yesterday, Lisa and I delivered the first bag of food and took these photos. Note how even the cats joined the feast!

A thoughtful, admirable, generous gesture worthy of consideration and, perhaps, emulation. Thank you, Nicole and Dale!
