In preparation for re-opening the resort on November 1st for a new season, Paya Bay's team members are giving all the facilities a general scrubbing and cleaning.

a state of appreciation and gratitude

There is a difference between feeling gratitude and appreciation for something, and feeling attachment to something. Appreciation and gratitude are states of pure love, while attachment contains fear - fear of losing or not having what you are attached to. When it comes to something you want in your life, appreciation and gratitude attracts, and attachment pushes away. If you are feeling afraid that you will not get what you want, or losing what you have, then you have attachment.

To remove the attachment, keep shifting yourself into a state of appreciation and gratitude, until you can feel that the fear has gone.

Washington - The US jobs machine shifted into higher gear in September, pushing the unemployment rate down to the lowest level in six years. In a boost for President Barack Obama a month before midterm congressional elections, the Labor Department reported Friday that the economy pumped out 248,000 net new positions last month, sending the jobless rate to 5.9 percent.

october rain

Right on schedule, this morning we had the first of the October rains. Historically, October has been one of our wettest months here in the Bay Islands. I've personally witnessed Octobers in which it has rained pretty much non-stop the entire month. These rains are critical to keeping the island green and replenishing Roatan's fresh water aquifer. During this month, we close the resort in order to do yearly maintenance work, and to allow our team members to take their well-deserved vacations. Paya Bay reopens November 1st. Note that we will continue to accept and process reservation requests during this time.
