Now that the world is beginning to understand that what happened in Honduras was a defense of democracy not a toppling of it, the recognitions of the interim government of Roberto Micheletti are beginning to be announced. The states of Israel and the Republic of China (Taiwan) are the first to side with the new Honduran administration. While we Hondurans appreciate these recognitions of our heroic new government, it still needs to be repeated that President Micheletti has the support of the majority of the Honduran people. That is the only support that will ultimately matter. If the international community attempts to force Zelaya back on us, the people will rise up in support of our armed forces. I promise you that.
