We recently added new hammocks to the hammock station in Secret Cove. These photos attempt to capture the natural beauty this amazing chillout location.

secret cove redone
We've recently put a lot of energy into the hamaca station at Secret Cove. The palapa was re-thatched, a rustic stone floor was added, and new hammocks were installed. This special spot remains one of the best places on the property to enjoy a sunset.

lisa's hammocks
My good friend Lisa suggested putting a hammock station on the "nature deck" next to the Black Iguana. Shaded by the palms and tropical trees that surround it, this balmy, breezy area has great views of Bliss Beach. It's great spot to chill and enjoy nature and, perhaps, a good book.

dramatic
One of Paya Bay's new hamaca stations takes form atop its very privileged location. Note the emphasis on using construction solutions that are harmonious with the surrounding nature. I have a feeling this one will be a guest favorite.

wow! what a view!
This week the Grounds Team completed the floor of the hamaca station being built at one of the most magnificent spots on Paya Bay's property. Overlooking idyllic Bliss Beach, the view to the East is spellbinding! This photo barely begins to capture the dramatic beauty one beholds from this exceptional point of land. Definitely one of the top three best vistas to be enjoyed on Roatan. Once we add the rustic shade solution, it will also be a perfect location for small, intimate weddings and other love-inspired ceremonies.
I discovered this amazing spot as a teenager while exploring my parent's property. I recall back then thinking that one day I'd like to do something really special at this site. Something simple, rustic, and low-impact like a hamaca station. It's truly amazing how 'thoughts become things.'
Wow. I'm so very happy and grateful for my astonishing good fortune.
And... It only gets better!

the new hamaca stations
Special daughter and mom guests, Daria and Zenona, check out the site of a new hamaca station (under construction) that overlooks Bliss Beach. This is just one of seven (yes, seven!) new, strategically-located hamaca stations we are adding throughout the Paya Bay property. All the sites have amazing views and great exposure to the cooling sea breezes. Each station will have its own unique, rustic, eco-appropriate shade solution. The hamaca stations are one of Paya's 2012 projects rapidly and beautifully materializing. Special thanks to team leader Cesar Villanueva for the impressive dedication, effort, and skill he and his fellow team members are putting into this project.

spontaneous art
While working on a project, Cesar Villanueva, a member of the Paya Bay's Landscaping Team, was moved to create this spontaneous garden sculpture using an interesting rock he discovered, natural coconut fibers, charcoal, and seeds that commonly drift in the Caribbean Sea.
Inspired. Original. Ingenious. Natural. Beautiful. Thought-provoking.
