Important Note: Located in the Caribbean Sea 40 miles off the country's north coast, Roatan and the other Bay Islands are physically and to a large extent psychologically separated from mainland Honduras. The political events you may read about online or see on TV are occurring primarily in the capital, Tegucigalpa, hundreds of kilometers to the south. Everything is calm here in Roatan, our tranquil island life is going on as normal, and visitors are coming and leaving as usual.

I "don't dig" Obama anymore

I just removed President Obama from the list of People I Dig on this blog. His reaction to the crisis in Honduras has been pathetic. He is siding with the likes of Hugo Chavez, Raul Castro, Evo Morales, and Daniel Ortega to condemn, delegitimize, and undermine the heroic authorities of Honduras who rescued my country from a sure dictatorship by a Hugo Chavez puppet. What's more, he and Secretary of State Clinton are trying to force this lunatic back on us. Shame on you, Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton!

Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! ... 7.8 million* times "Shame on you!"

SHAME. ON. YOU.
