...all that Republican support for President Micheletti results in statements like these:
Thank you congresswoman! I am Honduran and an American citizen.  Have full confidence that my vote in these [upcoming American] elections will be for Republicans. Thank you for wearing pants and telling everyone that the government the Honduran people want is Micheletti's. We do not want to end up tomorrow like the Cuba. My respect for you and the Micheletti government.

Democrats ought to consider the backlash from Latino voters (an ever more critical voting block) that could result because they appear to have taken sides with the likes of Hugo Chavez, the Castro brothers, and Daniel Ortega (a sordid crew most Latinos despise). This becomes particularly important after the Congressional Research Service concluded that Zelaya's removal was legal.
