Costa Rican President Oscar Arias will act as mediator in the political crisis in Honduras after his mediation was requested by interim Honduran President Roberto Micheletti, and also accepted by the deposed President Manuel Zelaya.
Those seeking a solution in Honduras "need a mediator, and we support the President Arias of Costa Rica," U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said after meeting in Washington with Zelaya.
